This book contains no stats to speak of, just a whole lot of articles on Krynn. The Bakali and Kazelati sections were well written and I really enjoyed finally getting some info on the people of Khur. I'm a history buff, fantasy or non-fiction, it's all good. Other excellent articles worthy of mention: the Tower of Wayreth, Battle Tactics, artifacts of the 4th age, the Gnome inventions and the Library of Palanthas.

I for one have never been a fan of the typical Leaves poems, recipies... and the armament of the Knights of Neraka and the dress of the palanthian lady didn't tickle my fancy either. But that was the entire beauty of the book- it has something for everyone.

Unlike the Betrem-type books where they write 8 long essays where 3/4 of it is all flowery filler, the Leaves-type books have always been as short as they should be so theres more space to fill in with juicy info and thats what this is... 254 pages of good stuff.

At first I was kinda disappointed since it's a paperback (albeit quite big) and costs just as much as the player's handbook which is a hardcover (though I just noticed they dropped the price).. and it's not like i gobbled this book up in a day, i slowly read articles over a period of time. These leaves book are something you keep on your shelf.

The bottom line with this book is if you're looking for stats, go buy yourself some Forgotten Realm source. If you're looking to find out more about Krynn buy this.
