J Robert King has done a good job writing this book. He has not set out to tell a story in the traditional way you would expect but has written it in an almost diary type manor. I personally found this format refreshing but somepeople may not like it because detail is sometimes missed.

The plot is good with one or two suprises but what really impressed me was the way the battle/fight scences were written. They are full of detail but not to much so as to spoil the action. The one minor let down though is the ending it is a bit flat. But on the whole it is a good book and I would recommend it to anyone.
