3.0 out of 5 stars not enough dirty jokes and flat beer, 1 Jun 2001
drew carey has a cult follwing in the u.k. due to the fact that he has been hidden away in the early hours on both his sitcom and hosting the american version of who's line is it anyway?.his sitcom has more laughs and attitude than most of the british ones put together but when someone approached him to write a book he should have thought about it a little more.he prides himself on not using a ghost writer but maybe he should have got one as the book is not one thing or another, with each chapter starting off with a dirty joke and then going into a rant about what his stand up act must consist of.he should have either done a book about his time as a stand up and getting a top twenty rated sitcom or done a book of gags and anecdotes but half way through the book it swaps to some short stories he wrote which sound more like failed ideas for episodes of his show.if you like drew (and i do find him very funny)you will be pretty dissappointed with this book.
