This review is from: Mrs. Jeffries Weeds the Plot (Victorian Mysteries) (Paperback)
This was the second of this series which I have read and it may explain why I found the story so irritating. The policeman in the series has to be amazingly incompetent and dense in order for the staff to 'help' him to solve the crimes. Once you have read one of these I think you will find that you have had enough. There is nothing to challenge the reader's intelligence, it will just try your patience.
