Product Description

From the Author

By popular demand...
In Apollyon, the truth about Amanda is revealed, both Hattie's and Chloe's pregnancies are resolved, and the chief demon of the abyss (Apollyon) leads the greatest plague so far upon survivors of the Tribulation. The comment year between books in the Left Behind series? Can't you write faster?" Apollyon is the first response to that demand. This fifth book is the first to appear so soon after its predecessor and begins a two-books-per-year plan (a new release every February and August) that will continue until at least 2002, for a total of at least 12 titles in the series. Tyndale House tells us they are releasing 700,000 hardbacks of Apollyon; a 12-part Left Behind radio drama will be aired in 1999; and the Left Behind movie is in the scriptwriting stage. The idea for the series was Dr. LaHaye's, and he cheerleader. He believes Apollyon is the best so far, and while I'm too close to it to be a fair judge, I'd like to believe he's right. We'll be watching Amazon.com's reviews to see what you think. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

4.0 out of 5 stars this series MUST be read, 25 Aug 2000
By xduncanx@hotmail.com (Aberdeen, Scotland) - See all my reviews
Admittedly, i was still quite a new convert to the love that Christ has for us, having lived my life previously as an atheist, but this series has really helped me understand where things (especially Revelations)are coming from in the Bible. I would recommend this book to anyone & i would challenge any non-Christians not to convert to the truth after reading this. Any book that i can read in 2 days without being able to put down must be worth the money! It's just a shame that we're left waiting for soooo long between paperback copies.

4.0 out of 5 stars My attention was captivated., 24 Aug 2000
By A Customer
I do not read novels. I do not have the patience nor the time but I have not been able to put this series down! In fact, I have never been able to read anything over 100 pages and enjoy it, until now. Can't wait to read the next and so on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reality is exposed for a possible near-future Earth., 4 Feb 2000
By bjbi314@aol.com (Roanoke, Virginia) - See all my reviews
Through fiction, a picture is drawn of a Possible near-future life on Earth. A Truth is revealed showing mankind what we are and have created when seeking Love outside ourselves, denying the Source of creation Itself. I have read each of the first five books in 24 hours. At times I feel too much fundamental religious beliefs expressed in an attempt to sale the reader on a particular belief system. Regardless, the books ignite my thoughts about this possible future, believing some of the life style events are probable rather than simply an possibility. For me, the books have caused me to think more deeply about my individual role as a part of mankind. The books certainly reveal the importance of self-responsibility and service to others: Love of Self and Others! The characters quickly become real, their situations captivating, and their outcomes real to life.
