1.0 out of 5 stars Not written by Lawrence Sanders, Not the real Archy McNally, 29 April 2000
This book is NOT written by Lawrence Sanders but by an unknown (to me) author called Vincent Lardo. I love the McNally books usually but this one was a real disappointment, lacking the wit, style and panache of Sanders' Archy McNally. Mr Lardo needs to find his own writing style, not to imitate another author. The customer is being mislead if they buy this book thinking it is by Lawrence Sanders and is of the same standard as the other Archy McNally books. Very, Very disappointing.

4.0 out of 5 stars I really liked the book., 22 Aug 1999
By A Customer
I too, was deeply sadden by the death of Lawrence Sanders, and when I heard that there would be one last Mc Nally book I was thrilled. I read the copyright page before reading the book and knew that it was written or partly written by Vincent Lardo. Quite frankly, I thought the book was great. After reading the reviews, I guess not to many fans of L.S. agree with me. I have read all of Lawrence Sanders books and enjoyed everyone. I guess it's time to start over. Of course there will never be another Lawrence Sanders, however if I can have Archy McNally every year or so I would be very greatful to Vincent Lardo.

2.0 out of 5 stars An Archie Fix????, 12 Aug 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: McNally's Dilemma (Hardcover)
A quick fix to a less than exicting book. A good try but not the same. Too many changes in Archie and his father to please me. Plus a sister! Where did she come from. Just knowing Sanders didn't write this made the whole book hard to finish.
