In VOYAGE OF THE GRAY WOLVES I've tried to be as accurate as possible regarding life aboard a destroyer of the Royal Navy. Being an American I have to interpret the cadence and manner of the English language (not the American-English language), and I hope that I've captured that. I would like to hear from readers in the United Kingdom about the novel. BETWEEN THE HUNTERS AND THE HUNTED, featuring George Hardy and Firedancer against a much more powerful enemy, is being released by Kensington Books in late 2005.

Steven Wilson's Voyage of the Gray Wolves is an exciting book fill with fascinating characters. Sometimes writers will fill their books with cardboard cut-outs and just hope that everything works out. That isn't the case here. You can tell that Wilson cares about these people. Everyone seems real and that they have a reason to be there. The action sequences are superb. Very authentic. I understand that he has a new book coming out in NOvember 2005 called Between the Hunters and the Hunted. It's about battleships during World War II.

I recommend that reader get both books. You won't be disappointed.

I've always had an interest in World War II naval action but I didn't know what to expect from Voyage of the Gray Wolves. I was pleased to find that the book was action-packed and really fascinating. The author drew me in to the main characters; George Hardy and Kapitan Kern. I also appreciated the techinical detail that he supplied, and the fact that he never let that overwhelm the story. I'm looking forward to his next book.

The latest installment in this series is well written and fast paced, I would recomend his earlier works be read first, although this could be read as a stand alone book.
