1.0 out of 5 stars let-down , 1 Aug 2006
Any fan of the original Death's head series will be horribly let down by this palid imitation that has nothing in common with the original other than the title. Phowwww...got that out of my system...The artwork is good but seems inappropriate to the character, the characterisation is thin and/or blunt, death's Head himself is a non-character. The whole thing lacks any engagement for the reader, none of the character come alive.

Simun Furman writes a good sci fi tale here that just about fits in the marvel universe, which really doesn't matter anyway its irrelevent. What is important is the title, deaths head 3.0 suggesting this continues the tales of the freelance peace keeping agent who became the controlling personality of the minion cyborg, yay, I have waited years for that to happen. Nope not here nothing to see keep on mov... wait no it is a pretty goos story regardless and the art is good too. and who knows if the was a follow on series maybe... no lets not do that. Forget it deaths head as we know and love is gone forever. This is a good graphic novel though and still deservs reading.

4.0 out of 5 stars Back to the Origin, 13 Nov 2007

(REAL NAME)
First off this is not the DH or DHII that fans know and like, but is infact a new version. DH personality does change dramaticaly in this storey as the newly born alien cyborg tries to understand what it is. By the end of the book, DH certainly can be seen taking the first steps into a more familiar version. As for the storey and artwork, WOW, I certainly hope their is a green light on DH 3.0. as I would at least be interested in more, yes!
