Product Description

Product Description
Jamie Madrox, stabbed, staggering off a bus. Jamie Madrox, setting up a detective agency in the heart of Mutant Town. Jamie Madrox, a peaceful Shaolin priest. Which is the real Jamie Madrox? In this noir-esque thriller of a limited series, it's possible that even Madrox doesn't know anymore. Peter David, acclaimed for his run on X-Factor, reunites several of that title's most popular and whimsical characters - Jamie Madrox, Wolfsbane, and the aptly named Strong Guy - and sends them on an adventure of light and darkness. Featuring the incredibly moody pencils of Pablo Raimondi.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting..., 29 May 2005

a new take on the multiple man, Madrox has a decent story that kept me interested, and it reunites some X-Factor faves! Basically it's a detective story with constant references to film noir. The art sometimes left a little to be desired but this didnt affect my enjoyment. I'm looking about for the next instalment right now, if there is one, so hopefully that's a good enough endorsement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Multiple man, Multiple Man, Does everything a Multiple can, 6 April 2007
I just have to say that I LOVE this book. I loved Peter David's version of Madrox from back in the X-Factor of the nineties. He has taken what some took to be a bit-part hero and made him flesh and blode. In this story he gets to stand on his own feet. The reader gets to empithise with him, understand how the Multiples work.

A great title filled with imagination, characterisation and a perfect starting block for the New X-factor, also worth a read.

a paperback collection of a five issue comic series published a few years back, featuring marvel comics hero jamie madrox. one time member of superhero team the x men the story sets up a whole new series for him. it's completely accessible to anyone who hasnt read any of his previous comic appearances.

all five issues appear in this collection, complete with their original covers. the story is self contained but does set up an ongoing series called x factor, featuring characters you meet here.

madrox has the ability to produce perfect living and breathing duplicates of himself. he can send these out to gain information, observe, or do whatever else is required. and he is just setting himself up here as a private detective. a couple of former superhero colleagues join his new team, and they get a couple of cases right away. one being the murder of a madrox duplicate.

a smart, fun, and very witty read, this contains madrox solving a film noir style mystery. full of good artwork, clever plotting, some excellent and often very funny dialogue, it's a hugely entertaining read. and it also contemplates a few interesting questions about the nature of existence that will get you thinking about them.

a great book and well worth reading. as is x factor, the series that follows on from it
