5.0 out of 5 stars A must for the inexperienced to the experienced, 23 Feb 2001
This review is from: Networking Complete (Paperback)
I am a Network & Desktop Analyst and have found this book to be an invaluble source of information. It takes you from the beginning, with identifying the need for a network straight through to designing, implementing and maintaining a network, whether it be for home use or a large multi national company. A truly outstanding book and a must for all network enthusiasts.

3.0 out of 5 stars Networking Incomplete, 10 Oct 2003
A great book in terms of the broadness of topics covered which is great, it gives you all the basics of networking to get you upto speed, and I'm afraid that is all that it serves for. It barely touches Wireless Networking which is not a dying technology and they seem to shy away from this.

Nevertheless a great 'starter' book but not to be used at Under/Postgraduate Level.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't bother, 30 Sep 2003
By A Customer
I was overwhelmed by the choice of networking books, and after reading the different reviews I chose this book. Unfortunately for me the book is only used by Sybex to promote it's other publications - each chapter is an overview taken from one of it's books and you will need to buy those books to actually get the detail you need . . . unless you are an absolute (and I do mean absolute) novice do not buy this!
