5.0 out of 5 stars why you should get this book, 25 Jul 2002
Perhaps the best thing any budding designer should read before even thinking about designing. This book is fantastic, using great images and fantastic humour to show you what NOT to do when designing a website. Each chapter focuses in on different design elements such as the use of flash or movies. This book does not teach you how to make a web site, show you how to use texts or illustrations, nore does it show you how to use graphics on a web page. It mearly gives great advice and points you in the right direction to making a fantastic web site.

4.0 out of 5 stars Son of Web Pages That Suck, 7 Aug 2002
By Terry Lane (Kent, UK) - See all my reviews
Vincent Flanders takes another witty look at poor web site design, naming, shaming and ridiculing those who, in some cases get paid unhealthy amounts of money to show a lack of design knowledge and creativity.

Flanders hones in on design companies and large organisations, excusing the 'Home page' market as the enthusiastic amateurs that often are. And though I don't always agree with his views, they are nonetheless amusing and almost always spoken with a knowledgeable insight of what is wrong and why.

The book is good for a more relaxed yet very authoritive read; and for that very reason is appealing to students of web site design.
