5.0 out of 5 stars The best book to start your mcse, 11 Jun 2001
This book is fantastic in explaining the processes and terms involved with win2000 and IT. I started an mcse course after kowing a tiny bit of computing and was completely lost until I found this book. This book is vital!!! Lisa Donald explains things exactly how they and what things mean in such a clear way that anyone can learn. Please buy it!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, Easy to follow, nicely presented, Great Introduction, 20 Sep 2000
By andy@1st-software.co.uk (Coventry, England) - See all my reviews
I was looking for the ideal book, offering value for money, that gave a good coverage of the topic. I am about to start my MCSE in Windows 2000 but have done no other MCSE exams. With this in mind I needed a simple book giving a good grounding. For me this book had it all. It started with the basics and worked from there. Good tips and an excellent Glossary for those "techie" words that so many people like to use. It was excellent value for money, and has made me feel much more confident in tackling the next set of books (Microsoft Training Kit). For anyone about to start MCSE and feeling a bit daunted by the prosepect, this is the place to start.

5.0 out of 5 stars Make this your first certification book!, 24 April 2001
By dave@magellan.screaming.net (Suffolk, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Having decided a new career path, getting nationally recognised qualifications seemed a daunting task. I've always been considered as "handy with computers" by colleagues and friends. But certification was another matter! Where do I start? What qualification do I study for? What do I need to learn? This book managed to answer those questions, pointing in the direction needed for MCSE certification. Any areas I was unsure of originally, it managed to banish my ingorance by plain no nonsense laymans terms. Each chapter builds on the previous to lead you in to an understanding of the basic concepts of the subject. Quite simply, it told you what it was and what it did. Lisa Donalds style of writing was eloquent as it was simple and I shall be looking out for more of this authors publications. Make this your first certification book!
