For the traveller or the curious this is a very good pocket phrase book and dictionary. It gives the reader with a basic introduction to the Azeri language and the grammar, a handy English - Azeri dictionary and then a list of useful phrases and sentences to help the traveller negotiate his or her way around Azerbaijan. The phrases include food and drink, emergencies, travel, health, emergencies basically everything you will need for the short or medium stay in the country.

This is without doubt a very good start for the traveller to the country and the obvious benefit being that the Azeri language uses the Latin alphabet so its not that hard to pick up. Just a tip but you may want to have a look at some Turkish dictionaries or phrase books to start yourself off with (as they may be more easily available) as it is pretty much the same language.
