Although full of whimsical words, I found this immensely useful, it was quick to find words, and an excellent book to carry all the time. Recommended!

A very good book that will give you a good foundation in the Georgian language. The book starts by giving you the Georgian alphabet and a brief introduction to the Georgian language and something of the grammar. There is a comprehensive dictionary of English - Georgian words and then the third part of the book gives phrases and words that one would use in day to day life while visiting the country (Food, drink, travel, changing money, hotels, etiquette, emergency, health etc...)

This is a very good book for the traveller to Georgia though I would strongly recommend reading the book and being acquainted with the phrases you intend to use before going to the country and if possibly having a native Georgian correct any miss pronunciations that you may have as the book only gives Latin transliterations of words.

The only negative I have with the book (and why I only give it 4 stars) Is that it does not included the word or sentence in Georgian. Instead you have a transliteration. There is only the Georgian alphabet and then 1 page of Georgian signs to translate. It would obviously be of much more use to the learner to learn the world in Georgian thus, making it easy for them to also read in Georgian.
