I have been a qualified nurse for 19 years and recently realised that I was rather "out of touch" in some areas.Brunner and Suddarth's Textbook of Medical and Surgical Nursing was the perfect tool for my revision course. It is a marvellous resource for quick reference at home. The size and weight of the book takes a bit of getting used to , I almost needed to refer to my moving and handling manual to manouvre it but I managed eventually!!!Full of clear and concise instruction with many helpful diagrams.I felt I was cheated a tad as regards immediate post-op. procedures and could definitely have used more information in this department. All in all I am pleased with the purchase and am assured of the fact that this book is certainly more "in touch" than my study materials of 20 years ago.

I skim read this book through and it seems to be presented really well and coloured diagrams can only help. The references, journal, and website listings are really invaluable to expand on and gain that extra knowledge to knock the socks off the tutors. The only quarm about this work is that it seems to be a little breif in certain sections and could go into a little more depth but in saying all that there are not any other H/back nursing texts of this volume and size for the price I have seen any way. So all in all a really good buy for any nursing student who wants good value for that ever elusive money or overdraft as it may be.

A friend lent me this book for some research for my second assignment as I couldn't find a piece of information anywhere and was getting very stressed, Looked in hear and there it was plain and simple, its easy to find things and understand I LOVE it and have bought a copy for myself as I believe it to be well worth it.
