I work in the fashion industry so I was very interested to see what the author had to say about various topics, particularly trends and the effects of advertising on fashion. I was nicely surprised by a witty, well researched book that was incredibly funny at times.
Perhaps the funniest chapter is the first one: The Fashion Victim's 10 Commandments, in which the author breaks down 10 ridiculous rules like "Thou Shalt Pay More to Look Poor" and "Thou Shalt Covet Useless Utility." I also enjoyed the chapter called McFashion which skewers mass market retailers like the Gap and H&M.
All in all, this is a very interesting book. Well worth it.
