Product Description

Product Description

One of the funniest, most beloved, and most often quoted entertainers in the world tells his tale of Life and Golf--and of somehow surviving both. With his brilliant creation, groundskeeper Carl Spackler, and the outrageous success of the film "Caddyshack" firmly etched into the American consciousness, Bill Murray and golf have become synonymous. Filled with Murray's trademark deadpan and dead-on humor, Cinderella Story chronicles his love affair with golf from the life lessons he learned as a caddy--"how to smoke, curse, play cards. But more important, when to"--to his escapades on the Pro-Am golf circuit at the Augusta National and as a fan at the Masters, the U.S. Open, and the Western Open. An up-by-the-bootstraps tale of a man, his muse, and our society's fascination with a little white ball, Cinderella Story is one pilgrim's bemused path through the doglegs.

5.0 out of 5 stars PURE DRIBBLE, 28 Jul 1999
By A Customer
As with the Steve Martian book, these 2 works of comedy need to be put in there place. They have to be the funiest works of comedy literature ever. This book kept me laughing, I couldn;t put it down. And all you people who said you love Bill but didn;t like the book, then you don't love Bill you just think you do. This book is Bill being honest and funny. I am a huge fan since 1984, when Ghostbusters came out, and I was only 2 years old. So save me from your whin, Murray is a genious, one of the few and last of the true comidian who will do anything to make you laugh. So buy this book, I loved it, and I think I'll go read it again.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful, a real let down.
This is a completely lamentable book from a usually fantastically funny man. In his defence, how interesting could a book about golf be? Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Terrific trip through the life and times of Bill Murray

3.0 out of 5 stars I love Bill Murray, but I'm not sure what this book is.
Where do I begin? The book is certainly not as funny as Bill himself. Also, I knew the book was going to be about golf, but it's really about things related to golf that have... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars An unmitigated disaster
