5.0 out of 5 stars YOU SHOULD OWN THIS BOOK, 29 Sep 2002
This is the best book on WTF taekwondo that I have seen. I used it from yellow belt right through to black belt and it helped me all the way. The taegeuk patterns are easy to understand and there is useful advice on everything from warmups and training to sparring and the more advanced techniques and also describes the history and development of the art. Invaluable for all kup grades.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive guide aimed towards the WTF practitioner, 13 Feb 2000
By J. Burgess "Samurai Ronin" (Bristol, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book is aimed at the beginning to intermediate WTF Taekwondo stylist. It covers subjects from history to philosophy through to footwork and all the relevant kicking and punching techniques, including all the new developments that have been made in the sport. It also contains a good section on strategy, tactics, and training drills. There is a comprehensive guide to the Taegeuk patterns, with text and easy to follow line drawings. This book is defenitely aimed for the WTF student, but there is something of interest for followers of the ITF system. All in all a good reference manual

2.0 out of 5 stars Not What I thought!!!, 28 Jan 2003
By A Customer
Basically if you are like me and wanted to know your patterns from Chon-Ji to Choong-Moo then forget it! This book does not have them. However they do have Taegeuk Il Jang upwards which is the WTF grading system. So if your looking for the ITF patterns then this is not the book for you. It does teach the basic hand and leg movements. i was dissapointed.
