Firstly I must say that the book is excellent for a beginner like me, or for someone looking to refine their programming skills. The book is well set out and has plenty of helpful tips. The problem lies in the fact that the accompanying CD contains a compiler not like the one used in the text and so can be very confusing at times. The only solution is to download a copy of Turbo C++ Lite (the program used in the text) from a 3rd party website. The lack of author after sale help (i.e. author homepage) could put you off the text, but after much internet browsing you can often find what you are looking for. Happy programming.

...I've been through the pages of so many programming (especially C and C++) books that I had started being dissapointed about the situation. THERE ARE NO BOOKS OUT THERE I thought, but at the last moment, I finally discovered THE PROGRAMMMING BIBLE!!!

It is exactly what somebody (of the intermediate and advanced level) should need to have and use always when programming...

Try it simultaneously with the "C Programming - A Modern Approach" of K.N.King, as THE BEST point to start from, and you will be soon astonished by YOUR programming skills!!!

That's all I can say! A MUST HAVE!!!

Try both books as a recommendation!!!

I was looking for a book on c++ with everything i could possible imagine covered in it, this book exceeded my expectations. This book has just as much in it as the other books and much more covering information on c# and writing GUI's using windows.h. If you are looking to use visual c++ then you are best getting a visual c++ book, but for everyone else this is all you need.

It has advanced sections on C covering things i have never heard of and i have written simulators and compilers. Similarly with c++, everything is covered including the STL and to top it all it covers writing applications for windows.

The book is full of useful code and well explained.

Look No Further!!!
