5.0 out of 5 stars Move over Jack Bauer, thers a new man on the block, 17 July 2009
By Mr. Ryan L. Duke (U.K.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
David Hagberg writes thrillers that have become poignant in the current world political climate.

The story unfolds quickly, gripping from the first page. It reminded me of how the TV series 24 would look like if committed to the written word. Huge cliff hangers keep the pages turning, an insight into the workings of American Intelligence services and an adventure that spans continents and war zones.

The books are like a summer blockbuster movie, and in a post 9/11 world the relevance of the world in which this story exists feels like now.

I have now begun buying other books by David Hagberg, and have not been let down by one yet - having read 6 of them now.

The author also writes under the name, Seam Flannery, and these titles maintain the exceptional standard set by the Hagberg books.

Move over Jack Bauer, theres a new man on the block. The hero, Kirk Mcgarvey, feels human. He has flaws, fears, weaknesses and strengths to match them all. A believable fictional hero who takes on real world enemies of the US - Osama Bin Laden features heavily.

I recommend this book highly and hope that you enjoy the rollercoaster ride as much as I did.
