"Adams & Clamp are a powerhouse team that have opened the door to an amazing new world." - Romantic Times Bookclub, star review of HUNTER'S MOON."

Product Description

Six years ago, the love of Kate Reilly's life betrayed her to the Thrall, and she was bitten. Coupled with her natural psychic ability, the bite put her next in line to be the queen of the parasites. Though they've left her alone, Kate knows that every day could be her last as a human. When she meets the handsome fire-fighter Tom, she's almost instantly attracted to him. All her senses clamour for him - but her brain shies away. After what happened with her last lover, Kate is suspicious of all men, especially sexy werewolves who seemingly have no flaws. Nonetheless, Tom manages to slowly charm down Kate's defences, and she begins to fall in love. But he has a secret: his werewolf pack is hiding the one person who can protect Kate from becoming the next Thrall queen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great book by the Sazi-authors!, 10 April 2006
By A Customer
Six years ago, Kate Reilly's fiancée turned her over to the vampire parasites who call themselves the Thrall. Kate survives the attack by the master parasite and manages to kill him. But the bite, coupled with her own psychic ability, has transformed her. Now the local Thrall queen wants to make Kate her successor - whether she wants it or not. Kate finds herself in a fight not just for her life, but her body and soul. One of the few people willing to help her is werewolf Tom, a firefighter she only just met. There is a lot of mutual attraction, but can she trust him after what her fiancée did to her?
There are a lot of things that speak for this novel: It has an intelligent story, which says a lot, because after 1001 vampire stories, it takes a lot to write something that you haven't read a hundred times already. This type of parasite is really interesting and a lot more scary than your average vampire. Add to that a black sense of humour, great characters and well-written action, and you're in for a really entertaining and enjoyable book. It's darker than the Tales of the Sazi (Hunter's Moon and Moon's Web) by the same authors, but fun nontheless. If you enjoy Laurell K. Hamilton before she turned into a writer of Erotica, this should be the book for you. I will definitely get any other books about Kate Reilly and am happy that I discovered these authors.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not really for me..., 31 Oct 2008
By Amy T (England, UK) - See all my reviews
Although this was a well-written book, I found it quite difficult to get into. As with Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews (which I really liked) this book has a different perpective on vampires - they are parasites which infect human hosts by attaching themselves to the host's brain stem and live for up to about 12 years. For some reason I really didn't take to this idea but the character's were interesting, and that's why I'm giving this one three stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Touch of Evil? Fabulous!, 7 Oct 2008

(REAL NAME)
I saw what other people have reviewed and I wasn't looking to enjoy this book, but you know what, I did and I really got to like Kate and her family and Tom, ohh Tom!

The book starts off looking at some of Kate's earlier actions, which is referred to through all the other books as well.

The Thrall were believable, parasites that infect you and take over, eventually killing the host, different but good!

I liked this so much, I picked up the others in the series, they have all been as good, if not better!
