1.0 out of 5 stars For Dummies only, 19 Aug 2009
By E. P. Cooke "edbucks" - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This was the book that nearly put me off Linux for life. There's nowhere near enough advice on what to do if the installation doesn't go according to plan. I'd like to thank the many friends who helped me recover my computer.

I have a fair grasp of Linux now, but there wasn't one book in particular that made the penny drop. You might consider a magazine subscription to get you started, and then Stutz's `Linux Cookbook' or Sheer's `RUTE'. Anything but this.
