I picked up the package and opened VB6 In Plain English at 6:00. It was 2:00 A.M. when I had to put it down. The title says it all - "...In Plain English..." I learned stuff I'd been fretting over for days !

Plan to keep it around for a long time.

This book keeps the reader's attention and the interest stimulated! I read MS Press's VB w/Excel and found it quite boring. I am a beginner in the field and found this book advanced enough for someone willing to challenge their programming skills

..everithing in a very straight forward manner but still going through everithing in a very detailed manner, because the author worked for microsoft for 10 years he has a lot of experience with VB also because he was developing some of the first versions as well, so he is mentionning all the in and outs which you need to know and many other authors don't even know or mention all the things he does, also a very good chapter on graphics, wonderfull introduction into OOP, very easy to understand, I borrowed this book from a Library but I was so impressed with it that I will probably get myself my own copy.
Definitely worth buying if you are working with Visual Basic.
