Frommers' thailand guide is an excellent guide for those of us that have passed beyond the backpackers type of holiday. It is a good guide for people that also enjoy luxury and quality and do not mind something to pay this little bit extra, that does not mean it does not give good budget advice. I particularly appreciated the shopping advices, clearly given by somebody that is into the art of shopping. The descriptions of the hotels and restaurants are very atmospheric and really make you want to go there. It is a guide that is not afraid to state an opinion. Especially the parts on Bangkok and Chiang Mai were really good, from the detail and facts provided it is clear that the author spends a fair amount of time there.
