2.0 out of 5 stars Oh dear Dummies can't present!, 26 Sep 2003
By Ciaran Dyar Driscoll (Dublin Ireland) - See all my reviews
A very poor attempt to make presentation skills simple.

Unlike many other Dummies books "Public Speaking for Dummies", lacks the focus and simplicity within a clear framework, which helps the reader access the learning.

It has just about every bit of advice, folk wisdom and example knowen to the suject area put together in a structure that confuses not enlightens. It is close to being a list of "stuff" to do!

In deed, its core failing is that it is overly concerned with body-language and voice rather than content and style.
