Product Description

Product Description
The Weekend Crash Course series consists of 30 sessions over a period of three days. Each session is designed to take 30 minutes to complete, so the Crash Course is an intense 15–hour learning period beginning on Friday evening and ending on Sunday afternoon. Naturally, readers can adapt their learning to whatever schedule best suits their needs.

Active Server Pages 3 Weekend Crash Course is written to meet the needs of the reader who is new to ASP. However, through the use of carefully constructed roadmaps at the beginning of each session as well as pre– and post–assessment software on the CD–ROM, the book is also quite accessible to the reader who already has some knowledge of ASP.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for all users!, 16 Jun 2001
By A Customer
This book is ideal for people who are familiar with more basic principles of the web, such as html and javascript. It assumes little knowledge, and builds on basic principles given at the start. Having quite a lot of experience in html, javascript and perl development, I was able to skip through the first part, and get on to the ASP developing section. I am finding this a great way to learn ASP, and the book is well structured making it suitable for readers of all levels. Well recommended!

2.0 out of 5 stars ASP3 in a weekend (not), 22 May 2003
By william j higgs (N Yorks United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Almost incomprehensible and ludicrously compressed, this book attempts, not only to bring you up to speed om ASP3, but to cover the basics of HTML as well ! Although the introductory blurb says that it is intended for the beginner, numerous complex concepts and acronyms are introduced, like VB variables, without previous introduction or explanation, and you can search for them in vain in the index. The book may have been written for more competent readers than myself, but it is difficult to see how it could be useful to such people, given its very shallow coverage.
