5.0 out of 5 stars Great for those who are looking for an upgrade!, 7 Nov 2001
By A Customer
What makes this book attractive is due to the fact that it has a reference section and also a concise tutorial section. It's very suitable for readers who are considering to improve their knowledge on XHTML as they can see the changes made in the references section and also how it is implemented with cross-references to the tutorial section. The decriptions given are very informational. The references are arranged in an alphabetical order making looking up for a particular syntax fast and easy. Even every element within the syntax is explained. The tips that are littered all over the book is a great help for inexpereinced web programmers where it would point out common mistakes and other programming errors to avoid. The sidenotes are also informational, as it gives a practical approach on XHTML.

For beginners it's suitable if they start on the tutorials section and go on from there. IT's written in plain and easy english and it's easily understandable. The examples given are very helpful in explaining how to implement XHTML. However if the reader is looking for a comprehensive and well documented XHTML guide for beginnersI would recommend reading other books such as Beginning XHTML by Wrox Press.

Overall it's an excellant book for those who are on the upgrade from HTML to XHTML.
