I like the IDG Bible series very much. Having ordered ASP in a Nutshell and Professional ASP it is this book that actually taught me ASP, the other two are really only useful as extended glossaries on the subject.

The ASP Bible covers the areas you need to know about ASP NOW... and also, sensibly, has a complete section and glossary on VBSCRIPT, as well as HTML. So for the novice who wants to learn about ASP web design it clearly is a perfect choice.

As always with the Bible series the page layout is on of the easiest on the eyes, with a very clear format for both the code and the body of text. Never too dense or bitty I always find reading these books, and thumbing through to find a certain section very easy.

This book will be a constant companion as I continue to develop my database web application, and having a little more knowledge of ASP I now occasionally need the technically broader coverage of ASP in a Nutshell. However I only use that book as a resource.

As I found with Danny Goodman's Javascript Bible thisis a good buy.

This would have been a good book except that some of the VBScript commands in it claim not to work with VBScript when you try to run them in a page. I also didn't find the book very easy to follow, next time I think I'll stick to a Wrox book as they seem to be much better.

Also I tried to get help from the author about the problems I was having and never got a reply, so I wouldn't recommend this book at all.
