I have just finished reading this book and found that the book lives up to its title - it really is a fast and fun way to learn Spanish. Not only do you learn words and phrases for every day life, the book also teaches you grammar and verbs in a very simple and comprehendable way. The book includes short texts in Spanish based on everyday vocabulary and situations. It then reinforces what you have learnt using self test quizzes and questions. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed reading this book, it was a pleasure to read and really did make learning Spanish fun and easy. I will now feel confident in speaking and understanding Spanish next time I visit a Spanish speaking country. I would recommend this book to all beginners who want to learn Spanish.

I was not aware that this book will teach you Spanish, but more the Mexican form. This is not a problem if that's your requirement however i now live in Spain and this book doesnt teach you the same Spanish that is spoken in Spain. It's easy to follow along to i give it that, but one of the other main problems is that it goes straight into sentences. Granted, some people may prefer this, personally I like to know the main verbs and different forms of it first. If you want a good book to learn Spanish, then look for something more basic. They are out there. Am i allowed to suggest another book?? well i will say the ISBN "0-340-86718-3" mainly because learning the grammar is the most important aspect of learning Spanish!
