Back when I was teaching computer architecture and assembly programming we used this book, and most students loved it. Insied of front and back cover contained an easy-to-use quickref, sections on CPU peculiarities were easy to read, examples were good. Most students managed to take my assignments and after reading the relevant chapter adapt the book examples to our lab VME-bus machines.
As for myself, this is one book I'm keeping, even if I don't do much assembly programming nowadays. I really wish they'd make a similar book for the intel CPU.
If you're lucky enough to be stuck with a 680XX machine and need a good book to get to grips with the beast, I can really recommend this one!
