This guide is only slightly thicker than a magazine, but the relatively sparse content is padded out with some nice S.T.A.L.K.E.R artwork.

To be honest, all of the information contained in this guide is already available in online guides.

There is an OK walkthrough of the main quest (special missions), weapon and item guides, side quests (jobs) and some hints & tips for multiplayer games.

Overall I'd only recommend this guide to real fans / collectors..

The book looks nice, and has some great artwork, but...

You can get better walkthroughs and guides online.

The only comments about the weaponry, artifacts etc are hacked straight out of the in-game info screens. No specifics are given as to the effects or where best to find them.

The walkthrough is very, very brief.

The side-mission descriptions lack detail.

The maps are not labelled, you have to dig into the text to find out what points A, B and C etc. are. This is just lazy guide design.

No information is given on tactics or play styles (e.g. stealth, ranged combat or suchlike)

'Easter eggs' are completely neglected, even the STALKER/Merc suit at the beginning level is omitted. This is totally unforgivable!

Pull your fingers out Prima, you can do better than this...
