Keep this handy, you'll need it., 10 Jan 2004
When i first began my Daoc experience a year or so ago, the original strategy guide was my bible. This contained everything that got me through those initial hours of playing, hooking me into the game. To this day i'm still reading over it checking various combat styles or spells my next character will receive in levels to come.I can safely say that this book is simply mandatory if you plan to tackle the newest expansion to the Dark Age Of Camelot experience with both little stress and efficiency. As i did not purchase the Shrouded Isles guide, it took me a great deal longer getting to grips with this smaller area than it did with the huge area known as Albion not so long ago... Back to the content of the guide. To be honest, it's goldust to the dedicated Daoc gamer. Everything in this book is essential for completing the 9 trials and artifact quests, in an easy to read and understand, clearly presented form. The Master Ability lists are dreaded by some, welcomed by others. Regardless of your character(s) profession, it's best you know to the best of your knowledge as much as you can about these. Prima have evidently anticipated this, therefore all the master levels and abilities have been listed with all their pre-requisites. Say your looking for a specific Ability, simply look up the name, and it'll have all the required information you need. For the dedicated collector, the all important item list is a must. This again contains a concise list of every named 'drop' available, both in key dungeons and by unique monsters etc. Simply look for the name of the itemy you desire, you'll find its location, or zone listen along with what (type of) monster drops it, and its rarity. The keen explorer never leaves his house in the foundations zone without a map. This guide ensure he'll be doing just that. It contains very basic and detailed maps of every new zone contained in Trials Of Atlantis. This will save you having to alt+tab out of the game every few minutes to check for various maps, and let you play in peace. You'll never get lost if you use these maps, correctly. Overall, i'd say that this guide is a must for anyone planning to tackle the Trials Of Atlantis without searching for that non-existent web page you're dying for, searching the lands for that one item you realise you actually don't need, or figuring out where the hell you are because you refuse to leave the game to look for a map.
