1.0 out of 5 stars I got this for Christmas...., 4 Jan 2001
By A Customer
...and flicked through a couple of pages. After about 10 minutes, well, ok maybe up to 15 minutes of pageing through this book I put it away and haven't looked at it since. The information is very light on detail. This book is basically an expanded manual, but not expanded by having more information, more expanded in that it has more words and improves the grammer of the manual and no tables. So, it's thicker and reads more easily.

I wouldn't receommend this to anyone. If you want to find out about the game I would receommend either just playing the game or going in an online forum.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cack, 3 Dec 2000
By A Customer
I used to play the FIFA series, but wanted to try a heavy duty management game. A few people told me the Championship Manager series was the best, so I bought it and the guide at the same time. As a total novice to this series and management football games in general, I didn't find this book good. It's much better than the game's manual... but that's not saying much.

I have read the guide and the manual, but am learning more just by playing the game. This guide does not have any inside tips or tricks. It's more just a manual and desripbes things in the game, but does not tell you much about how the mechanics work or good tactics and other stuff.

I wouldn't bother with this guide. It's a manual, but nothing more...

5.0 out of 5 stars Just got it!, 17 Jan 2001

I have nothing else to say it is a great but hard game. Very hard. This book doesent tell you to win and if it had told you to win how fun would it be to play? This book gives you alot of information And alot of good players and stuff. If you have the game you should have this book to cause its worth the money i promise you that! The last thing i wanna say is this:If you don`t like the book you HATE the book.

If I have a choice I would not even give this book a single star! It is equal to the game manual u get in the box and NOTHING ELSE. Definitely not worth the money!
