I purchased this book having lost all hope playing American McGee's Alice. This book provides good guidelines for getting on in this game without making it too easy.

It introduces you to each of the characters, giving you their purpose and in the case of the enemies their weakness. It gives an excellent run down of weapons and items. The book goes chapter by chapter through each level pointing out useful hints and warning you about new villians you are about to face.

I give this book three stars. I have deducted the first star because the pictures in the book are often quite difficult to make out and the second because a lot of the smaller but trickier pieces of advice are omitted. And I know personally it's sometimes those sticky, seemingly simple problems that are harder and more irritating to overcome...
