3.0 out of 5 stars A good 'all round' book written mainly for the U.S.A., 30 Dec 2000
By A Customer
I feel this is one of the better homeschooling books about, but as it is American (homeschooling is much more commen in America), some of the chapters are not relevent to us Brits. However, the book contains very useful, practical advice for anyone considering home educating their children. The author has homeschooled her own children and discusses all the pro's and con's of the argument, which is refreshing. If you are considering home educating your children from primary right through to college this has lots of sensible advice for all ages and for all types of learning styles.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great HomeSchooling Book, But Made for US, 6 Dec 2008
Being from the U.S., this book is excellent. But in England, perhaps about 25-35% of the content does not apply, as the legal and other aspects are different. It's a great introduction to homeschooling, will help you make a decision, is easy to read, and talks about common concerns as well as having a curriculum.

Review is by Ramiel Nagel author of Healing Our Children: Because Your New Baby Matters! Sacred Wisdom for Preconception, Pregnancy, Birth and Parenting (ages 0-6) & Cure Tooth Decay: Heal and Prevent Cavities with Nutrition (First Edition).
