3.0 out of 5 stars Occasionally useful, 3 April 2003
By J. E. Goldspink "Jimmygoat" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This book, though helpful, is certainly not the best of it's kind available. Though I will admit that the way the excercises are presented is good, and not at all offputting to the unknowing eye. However, I do think that the excercises offered are really not the best ones for increasing mental strength generally, and are more focused on increasing your sensory awareness and sensitivity - not neccesarily always a memory tool. So it's not that the excercises are bad, but the effects of using this book will not get you very far when compared to more serious books.
But what does put this book slightly aside is that most of the excercises can be performed doing menial, everyday tasks (like commuting, morning routine etc.) and so the practicality for the busier people in life is good. Overall, I can't help feeling that the title promises more than the book can offer - buy, but don't expect a big change in lifestyle!

2.0 out of 5 stars For sale; going cheap!, 13 Sep 2008
By Derek Jennings "'People watcher'" (The home town of James Barrie) - See all my reviews
Neurobic Exercises; who's kidding? I started reading this book, found it utterly boring, put it down when part way through and forgot that I was reading it! I have since lost the courage to complete it; anyone interested in a cheap buy?
