5.0 out of 5 stars Life getting you down? Take to aspirins and this book!, 17 Mar 2003
By Deborah MacGillivray "Author," (US & UK) - See all my reviews
(TOP 50 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
Michael McGan brings his lay back humour to bear on everything from vacations in Jamaica, sundown worship in the Keyes, Terrible Twos and Soap Operas to Barbie & Ken, the Terrible Twos and Norse Mythology.

His ruminations remind me of 'diaries' that were kept of travels and daily impressions during the 1800's. These are often quite witty, but are also a microcosmic slices of life from that period. Most of these treasures of insights and information sit in some trunk in the attic, food for silverfish, so it's a delight to have this as a panacea for the everyday stress you face in life.

If you enjoyed Real Men Don't Eat Quiche or Blue Highways, you will enjoy this witty grump on life's foibles.
