Product Description

With searing narrative twists, "The Invisible" plunges us headlong into today's shadowy, feverpitched battle between terrorism and intelligence, as a covert counterterrorism operative risks everything, including the woman he loves, to save the life of one person...For more than a decade, Ryan Kealey has been a key player in the war on terror. First, as a captain in the U.S. Army's third Special Forces Group, then as a contract operative with the CIA. His actions have saved thousands of lives, including that of the U.S. President. Now once again, Kealey receives the call of duty - only this time, the odds for success are slim to none...

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book by an author who died FAR too soon., 8 May 2009
By SM Davies (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
It was very hard finding this book, I had read the two previous Ryan Kealey books and I had been waiting for this one to come out so I could continue following his exploits so I was disappointed when I tried my local Borders for this and was told that it just wasn't available and they couldn't explain why.

I then left it to Amazon (which in all honesty I should have done anyway) and boy am I glad.

The book is very dark, more dark than the previous two, yes it shows Ryan in his darkest mood and you really do feel for him. Much like the Mitch Rapp or Scot Harvath, Ryan does what he does because he plays with a different rule book.

I finished the book with an anticipation for a follow up book, it left me with a tight chest when having turned to the back page I saw a photo of Andrew Britton with what looked like his birth and death date, that couldn't be... could it? I quickly jumped onto my phone (I was on a train), pulled up a google page and went looking for news about Andrew, I went to his website and didn't see anything there so I thought I was mistaken. Unfortunately I wasn't, later that night I jumped online and discovered much to my dismay that Andrew Britton had infact died suddenly three weeks after this book was released. :( :(

I would heartily recommend that readers of Vince Flynn and Brad Thor really should read the books of Andrew Britton, I would even go as far as petitioning both Mr's Flynn and Thor to perhaps collaborate with the estate of Andrew Britton to see about a collaboration to finish off the Ryan Kealey story arc as they are to my mind the two authors best likened to Andrew Britton.

5.0 out of 5 stars Briiton has produced MOVIE material, 15 Aug 2008
Having just finished Assassin from Britton book collection, I went into the Invisible feeling like I knew Kealy, but this is a different Kealy a stronger darker side to him emerges. Kealy sitting finger on trigger just waiting to squeeze NOT wanting the order to come in time to stop him...Tense dark and factual. The invisible is written like a script easy powerful reading that would make an exciting movie. Pakistan is a hot topic right now I hope to see this on the big screen one day soon.
