Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

Anyone who has missed good suspense novels should put Honeymoon on their list straight away. James Patterson has always been fascinated by serial killers, yet he has tended in the past to stick with the boys; in Nora Sinclair, he and Howard Roughan create a classic Black Widow, who kills her suitors and husbands for their wealth. John O'Hara knows most of the truth about Nora, but until his investigations get close to her, he has no idea of just how much charisma and appeal she brings to the job of murder. And Nora, thinking him just an insurance agent, is surprised by how much she thinks about him, and not necessarily as a future victim. There is a quirky romance here, full of lies and deceit and also genuine feeling and a sense of menacing jeopardy for both viewpoint characters. The story-telling is Patterson's usual fast-paced staccato narration, but it has time for some interesting side-bar issues--there are things in both Nora and John's pasts and presents which only gradually come to our attention. --Roz Kaveney.

4.0 out of 5 stars Honeymoon, 7 Mar 2005
By A Customer
I am a huge fan of JP and love almost all of his books.
This one is no exception, there were good and bad points to it as with all books however overall i enjoyed this book from the start.
It begins with the death of a man whom we know nothing about except that he knows his killer.
The story then follows Nora Sinclair - the main character and detective 'Craig Reynolds'.
Its a story of intrigue that keeps niggleing at you to pick it up again until it is finished!
Character developement is excellent, the characters are vivid and real in your mind as you read the book.
An excellent story of a Black Widow with a thirst she cannot cure!
My only critisism of this book is the shortness of it!
Excellent must read for all thriller fans!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely story, 12 Aug 2007
By Sanch (Charlotte, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Honeymoon (Mass Market Paperback)
HONEYMOON is wonderful, it is great, it is griping. Having read James Patterson's earlier books before reading his recent titles such as London Bridges, I was beginning to get the impression that he was slipping. But Honeymoon dispelled that encroaching feeling. And now, I can look forward to his other titles with my earlier anticipation. This amazing thriller about a woman who murders her husband, then gets married and murders the other husband and later a fiancé, meets the standard James Patterson had created through his earlier works. The novel's characters are poignant but entertaining. And with the shortness of the chapters, the novel maintains the fast pace that makes all good stories page turners and books that are hard to set aside even for a short while. The details are plentiful.
With the rising number of black widows in our society, this book pierces the mindset of this growing phenomenon. Through Nora Sinclair, James Patterson successfully created one of the most intriguing characters ever. The plot is outstanding and leaves you guessing and wanting to know more from the opening pages of the novel until the very end. With its twists and turns, Honeymoon deserves all the credits as one of the most outstanding thrillers of the decade. Enjoy the ride with this book. Also recommended:USURPER AND OTHERS, CRIME AND PUNISHMENT, THE BIG BAD WOLF, UNION MOUJIK because of the depth of the stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW Couldnt put his down, 18 Jan 2005

(REAL NAME)
This is only my second James Patterson book and it certaily won't be my last. This book was a fantastic thriller featuring the brilliant Nora Sinclair who solely for financial gain sets about murdering her husband and fiance after already murdering her first husband. The pace of this book is extremely fast so I raced through it in less than three days. If you've never read a JP book before start with HONEYMOON!
