About the Author

Brian Wilson Aldiss is one of the most important voices in science fiction writing today. He wrote his first novel while working as a bookseller in Oxford. Shortly afterwards he wrote his first work of science fiction and soon gained international recognition. Adored for his innovative literary techniques, evocative plots and irresistible characters, he became a Grand Master of Science Fiction in 1999. Brian Aldiss recently celebrated his seventy-fifth birthday and is still writing to ardent applause.

This frenetic, & in some places very funny book shows Brian Aldiss' deep affection for Bram Stoker and his best known creation. Although I enjoyed it a lot, the swoops between confortable Victorian values and soulless vampirism could get a bit dizzying at times. Compared to his other books, a surprisingly light read. Please note: if you haven't read the origional Dracula, much of this book will pass over your head...

I read any books about vampires, and Dracula in particular. When I picked this I had no idea that it was a gothic Sci Fi book....Dracula has a time machine and knows how to use it. Some of the tale seems a stretch even for Sci Fi. But I enjoyed that Bram Stoker is in this book, a nice tribute. Good thing about the book, once you get pass the begining, the book picks up and is a fun read.
