5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, and unusual cook book, 7 Feb 2001
By A Customer
What can you say about a cook book? Well it depends what you require... but this is my kind of cook book. All recipes (usually 1 or 2 to a double page spread) are clear and come complete with photograph. With Eastern Europe encompassing such a vast area, the authors have taken the trouble to divide the recipes into "regions". All the famous dishes seem to be there (borsch, goulash, black forest gateau) and many others. Not surprisingly, some of the recipes use very down-to-earth ingredients, but with an Eastern European twist. Oh... and it's not all sauerkraut and beetroot... there should be plenty to please most palates!
