This is a great little book which you can read in an hour or two and which will tell you what philosophy is and why it is important.

knowing what you don't know is a valuable thing. I don't know what Mr Gottlieb doesn't but I know he doesn't know more than most. According to him Socrates died in a "headlock" not from "hemlock".
