1.0 out of 5 stars Only good for beginners on the subject!, 16 Dec 2000
Expected more from James Lucas! Good summary for beginners on the subject "German Army 1933-1945". Waste of money for anyone with deeper insight. Part on MG34/42 is incorrect. Technical/development misinformation leads one to distrust other information in the book. Good for quick reference maybe.

3.0 out of 5 stars A good reference for the beginner!, 7 Sep 2002
This book is meant for anyone new to the German army. For this purpose, it a very good book. It goes briefly tells the story (about 5-10 lines each) of just about every division in the German army during WWII.
Some parts are somewhat inaccurate, but generally it is a good book to begin your library with. Use it as a quick guide to the subject, and to find out what to read more about.
