What a great book. Finally a diet book that is written in terms that even a child can understand. For the past year I have been at my wits end. Gained way too much weight, under a lot of stress and not liking what I had become. Then wow, by following the easy steps I started eating, and sleeping better and was in a much happier mood. My husband also very happy with my new attitude and my new found energy level, lots more sh.......gin. Congrats to the author's. Excellent work.

To the plonker who gave only one star, you must have read the wrong book!

I can honestly say this 'diet' is by far the best one I have ever used.

To say this is a 'diet' is a little misleading because its not actually a diet and rather an education on how the body and the brain process food. Brain, I hear you say?! The brain plays an important role in how we perceive all those unhealthy foods because its the brain that is causing our cravings and probably the reasons why so many of us fail to lose weight and more importantly KEEP IT OFF.

You may say (like me) that I dont suffer from cravings, but cravings really come in so many varying degrees and are sometimes hard to identify (from your own perspective) as an actual craving.

I have been amazed at how I respond to food now. I dont over-eat, I dont want sweet foods, in fact, I actually forget to eat sometimes and have to be reminded. Before this diet food was always on my mind, now its the complete opposite. Dont get me wrong though, with this diet you will never starve as there is plenty of foods to eat and eventually after the weight loss phase you slowly re-introduce sweet foods again in a controlled manner.

If you have ever struggled with weight loss then this book is for you. I would urge you to try it out for 8 weeks and just see how much weight you lose, you wont regret the effort, and in the long run you will reap the benefits for your health.

The menus presented in this book are wonderful ~ Smoked Salmon Scramble with Vegetarian Hash Browns for breakfast; Thai Seafood Soup for lunch and Rosemary Garlic Lamb Chops with Stuffed Peppers for dinner! What more could you ask for and still lose weight?!? These menus are nutritious with lots of protein to curb the hunger cravings, and low in fat to keep the pounds coming off. There are vegetarian offerings too. It's a well-balanced program, well-written and well worth getting a copy to try it out for yourself!
