1.0 out of 5 stars What a con!, 12 Dec 2004
By A Customer
Buffy is easily one of the most witty and intelligent series ever produced. After a series of successful books about the show from Mr Topping, I was looking forward to this enormously. Basically, this book is a cynical rehash of all of his other books on the series. There is hardly any original material at all. It would seem that all Keith Topping did was make full use of 'cut and paste' in order to produce this fanboy rip-off!!
At £5.99 this is a con. If you are new to the series, get one of the other excellent books that are out there. If you are a fan and you have Toppings other books about BTVS then you already have this anyway! Not impressed! :0(

3.0 out of 5 stars Fact or Opinion?, 3 Jan 2005
By Mr. T. Brandon "timmy88" - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This little book of trivia is a mix of interesting trivia, much shared gripes and some debatable opinion. Keith Topping shows a true love for the show and so this is a good book for fans as it is written by a true fanatic. Thank god this man has addressed the sometimes true but sometimes questionable britishisms. Giles' varying use of real british slang and odd american "british" sland has been a worry of mine for years. However some aspects of buffy I feel he overdoes. For example, are about eight sections all about Spike's love life really neccessary? Just skip those parts to the more interesting trivia, even if it is sometimes inaccurate, I won't bore you with details but at no point in The Body, is Xena mentioned, the amazon reference is explained in the commentary. Apart from my nit-picking this was a good little book to dip into. So if you are a true fan, why not buy this book? It will help you bore your friends with even more buffy facts!!
