From the Author

Living up to other's expectations
Professor David Storey wrote of me:

'Robert Craven is one of Warwick Business School's most highly regarded presenters. His animated action-packed style demands participation. Robert does not give his audience the option of sitting back and merely reflecting.

'I was wondering how this presetation style would translate into words..and was delighted to find that the reader of this volume is as bullied and cajoled into particpation as is the listner.'

Fine words indeed. I hope that I have managed to translate my presentation style into words - everyone who has read says that I have!

Meanwhile, the book! Well, it is ironic that I write a book - I bang on about how I hate theory and am obsessed with action and then I try to give people a toolkit for action (a theory!). At the end of the day the toolkit does work - I know it does and the book is littered with examples of real businesses who have succeeded, using my help.

So, what do you get for your money: - commentary on how to apply the toolkit - checklists, action points, case studies, etc - the toolkit - the 100 day workout - all the worksheets...

So, what you get is a book aimed at helping you run a better business. That is what it does!

All feedback gratefully received

5.0 out of 5 stars At last a business book that can help you!, 26 Feb 2001
By A Customer
'Kick-start' is a refereshing book. It is a business book without the usual smart theory. Down to earth and practical.

Part One is words. Part Two is worksheets.

It will become a bible for our business. Thanks to all involved.
