I would only recommend this book to those that have read up on the theory sections of the test, if your learning the stuff from scratch, there are better books out there, in my opinion this book is too humourous for my standards, this to me is more like a comedy book than a driving book, it covers MOST but not ALL the stuff you need to pass a test, some of the pictures stick with you because the presentation and layout as well the illustrations will make your remember what to do and what not to do, if your learning from scratch, this may get quite confusing.
If your brushing up on your theory skills (prehaps already taken a test and failed, or quick re-fresher before your test) then this book will do you justice.
If your starting from scratch, Avoid it, this is a fair investment but not the best.

The only theory test book you need is "The Highway Code". Nothing out there can beat it!

Recommended by my driving instructer, unfortunately I cannot have much praise for this guide. It is fairly out of date and composed in a monologue which makes it vary hard to find any short defined answers or specific information. Yes, the pictures and text are easy to observe but there is atleast one error in terms of driving theory and I think there are much better options out there ( I recommend the "Driving Test Success Theory" CD Rom).

I have found this book of great use to me in the process of preparing to take my driving theory test. It has diagrams to help remember important things, for example, how to approach a certain type of junction. The style of writing is very easy to get to grips with as there is little use of technical terms, if any. It is written in a basic form but not too simple. Used in conjunction with test questions, be they supplied by the driving instructor or through the use of a separate book, I have found this book very useful. Well worth a look if working towards your theory test.
