4.0 out of 5 stars Wenger's way, 17 Mar 2003
I am 10 years old I have been an Arsenal supporter sinse the age of 2.This book really takes you inside the heart of Wenger and his players, the book tells you about Wenger's history and all his
big and small transfers.Plus includes picture pages of bad and good times that Arsenal have had,in their reign of the premiership. He describes the book in such depth and passion which makes you want to read on and on.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Footballers Book, 30 Sep 2005
By C. Ponting (Brighton, east Sussex United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
The professor is well written book exploring the Highbury career to date of one of footballs best and most intriguing Managers. For the most part each chapter covers a year at the club with very knowledgable and detailed analysis of all aspects of the season. This often starts with the Arsenal AGM, which is basically where the Arsenal board and Arsene Wenger answer shareholders questions, giving an interesting insight into how the club is run, the personalities of those who run it, and the pleases and concerns of those who pay for it. Other analysis includes some of the important games of the season, the managers involvement and thoughts (both at the time and in reflection), the player personalities, the transfers - those that did and didn't happened.. and much more.

An Arsenal fan myself i enjoyed the obvious passion that Myles Palmer has for the club, but more than that i enjoyed his passion for football and the perspective this gave the book. The information was detailed, but subjective, and put in the context of football as whole both in England and in the world... as is necessary when discussing a worldly manager like Arsene Wenger who (as you might discover) has an almost unusual love for the game of football.

Enjoy the read!

2.0 out of 5 stars Trendy Media Type Writes Book, 18 Feb 2003
By A Customer
Palmer comes out with nothing but his own opinions but try's to make us believe that we can get more of an insight into Wenger's mind by listening to them as he's had a few 'chats' with various people. I've come out with remarkably similar opinions at around pub closing time on a Saturday night without the benefit of having media buddies getting me into the backrooms of Highbury. Just a bit to pretentious and self-indulging.

Just a case of Palmer writing a book cause he's a writer, supports Arsenal and knows people who can get him in to meet Wenger rather than he's got anything really valid to say.
