About the Author

Paul Du Noyer was born and raised in Liverpool and has been writing about music for over twenty years. He has been the assistant editor of the NME, the editor of Q and founding editor of MOJO. His other books include a history of John Lennon's solo years, We All Shine On. He is currently the associate editor of Word magazine.

Excellent summary of Liverpool's popular culture since the 1950's.Bit of a nostalgic trip for me to my youth in Liverpool,
but will equally appeal to anyone moving there to study or work.

Good,without being stereotypical.Would have liked more on the Victorian legacy-Museums,Libraries,and the Art Galleries.
