I have had this book for a year or so now, and it is very informative. Its useful to use if you want to check back to previous episodes of Friends to check what happened, when are where. Its pretty well written and quite funny. I only wish the authors would write a new one including the most recent series as this book only goes up to series 6 :(

Don't get me wrong, this book is great! It had plot synopses (some of which could be slightly better), and all the funny bits to the episodes. It has 'Chandleresque' features, some of which cracked me up, Phoebisms (also brilliant), the full story on The Ballad of Ross and Rachel, as well as so much more. Indeed, anyone reading it without having previously read the first editio will fail to find any problems whatsoever, I feel sure. But it is preciely this that highlights the weaknesses. The first edition starred the best few in each series. It had 'Aahh Ratings' for each episode, it even had the French and German titles, some of which were rather amusing. It's not much, but just helps to make the book a bit fuller.

Despite all this, it's still great, and well worth buying. The first time I read it, I once (no kidding) found myself literally rolling on the floor laughing. BUY IT!

This paperback book is written by two true fans of the show. They researched extensively, using many online resources (including the Friends mailing list and many of the fans' sites - all of which are acknowledged at the back of the book), and the result was a comprehensive "bible" of the first four seasons.

The book has three or four pages dedicated to each episode, containing a summary of the show, "first aired" dates, and sub sections as a recurrent theme throughout (such as "Slow Joey", "Freaky Monica" and "Dinosaurs Rock!").

The sense of humour of the authors, as well as their obvious love for the show, shines through on every well written page. An excellent reference volume, as well as a generally entertaining read!

I used it extensively when adding the "finer details" on my website, and I would recommend it to anyone.
